Meet Randy Neary

“A Builder, A Believer and A Proud Son of Caldwell”

Randy Neary is a lifelong Caldwell resident whose roots run deep in the community he’s now seeking to serve on City Council. Raised in Caldwell and a proud graduate of Caldwell High School in 1989, Randy’s journey reflects the values of hard work, family, and faith. From humble beginnings to building a life, a family, and a series of successful local businesses, Randy’s story is a testament to what’s possible when determination and love for your hometown meet opportunity.

After graduating from Boise State University in 2000 and becoming a journeyman electrician, Randy chased the American Dream. He and his high school sweetheart Staci married in 1992, built a life in Caldwell, raising their twins, Aiden and Ashten, with the same small-town values that shaped him. While life brought changes—including the end of his first marriage—Randy remains a devoted father, close friend, and proud supporter of his children’s accomplishments. Randy’s son, Aiden, was very involved in Canyon County Optimists Youth Football and he coached several of his son’s teams. His daughter, Ashten, was in involved in dance for many years. Both graduated from Notus High School in 2017. His daughter now serves our country as a U.S. Air Force Sergeant stationed at Gowen Field, while his son works for UPS as a driver and own his own home in nearby Middleton.

Randy has always believed in building things that last—from homes and hangars to businesses and community spaces. As founder of Solid Rock Homes, Solid Rock Electric, and several other ventures, Randy has helped transform Caldwell’s downtown and local neighborhoods. His work includes renovations to iconic Caldwell landmarks such as the Flying M, Bella Blue, The Chop Shop, 208 Tire and Destination Caldwell. Currently, he is working on the renovation of 710 Main Street. He is invested in our city not just with brick and mortar, but with heart and vision.

But Randy’s impact doesn’t end with business. For over 20 years, he has been deeply involved in the Snake River Valley Building Contractors Association, serving as president, committee chair, and tireless advocate for affordable housing and responsible development. Appointed to the Caldwell Executive Airport Advisory Board and elected chairman in 2024, Randy has stood before City Council, not as a politician, but as a concerned citizen who believes in doing things the right way.

Randy is driven by faith, family, and a calling to give back. He and his wife, Alina, now attend Christian Faith Center and spend time together working on projects, camping, enjoying car races at Meridian Speedway, and walking their dog Maui through downtown Caldwell—especially when the Christmas lights are up. For Randy, it is those moments that define the kind of town Caldwell should always be: warm, safe, growing responsibly, and grounded in community.

Randy Neary is running for City Council because he believes in this city’s future. He is not looking for a title—he is looking to serve. With a steady hand, a builder’s eye, and a servant’s heart, Randy wants to bring his experience, faith, and commitment to work for the people of Caldwell.
